Sep. 29th, 2014 12:53 amOkay. Since the fic this guy is from is still a work in progress - the timeframe he comes from, especially - I'm going to be outlining a few things here.
This'll probably help me later on when writing the damn thing, but oh well, enough of that.

- 5Ds canon happens as per normal, however there were probably a lot more slight reactions to thing, reactions we didn't see. Such as Rudger noticing Crow, and recognising who he must be, and knowing who Jack is when the guy runs off from Martha's.
- Also, regardless if it was mentioned or not, the Godwins weren't single. They both had significant others. Rudger's was a lady called Hana Atlas. She used her maiden name after realising or being told that her husband was now a danger to them all, but died before Jack could have any memories of her.
- Rex and Rudger had intended to pass on when all the other Dark Signers were due to wake up. Unfortunately or not for them, the Crimson Dragon dragged their sorry spirits back just like the rest. What we don't see in the fic is Yuusei looking around and going 'wait what I thought those two wouldn't be here oh well good I didn't want them gone anyway'.
- Rudger intercedes with Yuusei and Kiryu, inadvertently becoming Kiryu's go-to person and solid place. Because they've both been through something very similar, they've both been Dark Signers, they're both leaders, and they are both, importantly enough, legally dead.
- Around this time Crow can be heard arguing (haggling, really) with his father, Rex - it's actually all about how those with criminal markers will now be treated. Important, and mainly brought up since Crow himself, Yuusei and also Kiryu have markers.
- Jack goes back to the penthouse. He and Carly talk. Things, such as the fact that she can't remember being a Dark Signer and also what Jack intends to do now, are brought up.
- As for Rudger, he moves into Rex's mansion. The place is in need of repairs, but as long as they stay to one wing while they're being taken out, the noise isn't too bad.
- Yuusei and Crow begin treating the mansion as a second home of sorts, a place to crash. This is partly due to several things; Rex had given them his hospitality, along with Crow and Jack, the place is big enough, but also because a) they want to irritate and annoy and get back at Rex and b) they want to make him not feel so alone. They know what family means. They're going to make sure he doesn't forget again. This does include Rudger.
- After about a week, Jack starts coming over, but, like the overgrown child he is, ignores both his father and uncle in favour of only giving his friends any attention.
- During this time, Rudger and Yuusei begin getting to know one another over the worthy cause of science, and a library. Rex is an infrequent visitor, as he is busier with being Director and sorting out the city and arranging for repairs to Satellite and the construction of the new Daedalus Bridge. Crow insisted it still be called that.
- At approximately two-to-three weeks after the Dark Signers' revival, Jack begins moving his things over to the mansion - his reasoning is nothing more than that the penthouse was getting too 'noisy' from the amount of reporters wanting to question the former king. He is still, however, not on good terms with any of his blood relations other than Crow, and even that is awkward, what with how much better Crow is taking this, and the fact that they are cousins.
- Of note is that Kiryu has not yet left Neo Domino/Satellite. He's currently staying in accommodation paid for and looked after by Rex, until he decides what to do next, the same with how Rex has also provided for Demak in a similar way.
- Rudger and Demak don't talk to each other as much as they used to, however they still consider themselves friends, in a more true sense than back when they were Dark Signers.
